British Standards Anti Slip Testing

All GripDeck® products have surpassed both the wet and dry anti slip standards as set out by UK Slip Resistance Guidelines, described in the British Standards BS 7976 (part 1-3, 2002).

The Stanley Pendulum tests generate a co-efficient slip value used to rate anti slip products.

* A co-efficient of 65 out of 100 is required for any anti slip surface to be classed as having an extremely low risk of slip.

GripDeck® products surpass these anti slip standards. We are so confident our products are the best in the market, we also offer our unique GripDeck® 5/10 Year Anti Slip Technology Warranty.

Why use 3 x GripDeck® inserts or more?

If you are using a standard size of decking, around 145mm, we would recommend using 2 x GripDeck® inserts in your decking.

Both 2 strips and 3 strips provide excellent anti slip resistance in both wet and dry conditions. However, if the direction of traffic is along the lengths of the timber (not left to right across the grooves) we would recommend 3 strips for added protection, to avoid a person walking down the middle in-between the GripDeck® inserts.
